Printing tip
- Sizes. Each resource shows its size, for example A4 (210 × 297 mm), A3 (297 × 420 mm) or A1 (841 × 594 mm). Cards are A6 (105 × 148 mm), A5 (148 × 210 mm) or a small square.
- Print-ready. A print-ready file has a little extra colour (3 mm) around every edge, so a print shop can trim it cleanly. An A4 file then measures 216 × 303 mm.
- At home or at school, choose “Fit to page” (or “Shrink to fit”) so nothing is cut off by your printer. At a print shop, ask for 100% (actual size) and for trimming at the paper size.
- Print sheets put several cards on one A4 page, with trim marks, and have fronts and backs. They are made for double-sided printing, so test one sheet before you print them all.
- Ink-saver versions of a form print in outline, with no colour fills. Fillable forms open in a PDF reader, so you can type into them. Keep completed forms private.
